Journalist Intern
Primary responsibilities
Writing articles for special interest websites
Duties include
- Researching all aspects of related topics and writing articles related to those topics.
- Working with management to identify and prioritize articles.
Skills
- Exceptional knowledge and skill in utilizing Microsoft Office products
- Excellent fast, creative writing and editing skills
- Intermediate knowledge of internet and email
- Demonstrated ability and desire to learn quickly and adapt to change
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal management oversight
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Acutely sensitive to deadlines/timelines

Requirements
Candidates: Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university; Recent graduates interested in gaining writing experience; Persons who have a passion for writing seeking to gain experience. All are welcome and encouraged to apply. We accept 25 interns each term.
Candidates must be able to commit to the following: 10 hours per week minimum, submit 5 articles per week minimum for 15 weeks.

Details
The hours are flexible. We offer both in-house and telecommuting opportunities. We are located in Schaumburg, Illinois (NORTHWEST SUBURB of CHICAGO, IL). This role is a great learning opportunity for a candidate who enjoys writing and is seeking a career in any area of writing.
